Lost Propeller

Working Progress:

• 4 successful flights with the folding propeller, which unfortunately spinned off in the 5th flight

• Louise came over to help the search, which was inconclusive

• Consultation with CAs reveals loosening of the nut inside the hub to be the cause

Remaining Issues:

• Log data does not indicate the moment loss of thrust occurred, so that search area could not be effectively narrowed down

• We forgot the safety vest and fire extinguishers!

• The lock at Coyote hill is really an inconvenience, just squeeze through the gate

• Future flights should include at least 3 team members:

pilot, ground control monitor, plane watcher
